As creative director, I collaborated with Len Pierre (Owner) and Karla Parker (photographer) to strategize for his two business photo shoots. The theme for these shoots was "walking in two worlds", highlighting how Len embodies a corporate professional and a cultural Indigenous individual. We also kept the aesthetic direction of the shoot on brand for a cohesive visual style across all platforms.
For the indoor shoot, we chose a black and grey backdrop and for the outdoor shoot, we chose to do it on traditional Katzie territory. We wanted to capture a range of shots that could be used for presentations, social media, the company website, speaking events, etc. We got shots of Len in professional and casual outfits, as well as images of traditional items such as cedar, sage, a medicine pouch, etc.

As the Team at LPC grew, Len reached out wanting to have a team photo shoot to highlight the newest members for the company website, speaking events, etc.
The aesthetic was to be on brand with LPC, and we envisioned it being business casual, voque-esque and a mix of professional head shots and candid images. We also wanted to offer the option to wear any traditional regalia if the models felt inclined.

Fraser Health wanted to get professional headshots done for their team, including allowing space for cultural elements and regalia.
We chose a blue background to represent the brand colour of the Fraser Health logo and add a pop of colour. Day of, I was in charge of posing models, adjusting and perfecting clothes, items, etc.

The New Legacy project, created by Len Pierre of Katzie First Nation, owner of Len Pierre Consulting, is an annual event honouring Indigenous resistance, resurgence, and resilience.
We wanted to provide a photo shoot with images that the models could use for their LinkedIn, business ventures or any other purpose they see fit. In lead up to the photo shoot, Len, Karla (the photographer) and I, strategized over the concept idea and how we could bring it to life. We chose a green/jade background to add dimenstion and highlight the skin tones and cultural regalia (cedar, wool, etc.) Every model was given the option to bring three outfits: business, casual, and traditional regalia.
We wanted to authentically capture the models: all aspects of them.
We chose to hold the shoots at the Kwantlen Cultural Centre on the Kwantlen reservation.
